He demands Lio to "take responsibility" for it. When Lio asks him about it, Galo becomes flustered, realizing he lit a fire to save Lio. Lio is touched by this and suprised Galo would save him. Galo decides to repeat the method of CPR he saw Lio use, and performs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, successfully reviving him. At this point, Lio is burning out and turning to ash. Galo catches up to them and ends up defeating Kray for Lio.

Galo is touched by this, and goes after Kray once more and Lio's flames protect him once more and he manages to knock Kray out. However, Lio puts Galo's safety first and uses his flame to protect him when Kray attempts to kill him. When Lio attempts to kill Kray for his crimes against the Burnish, he is revealed to be Burnish himself, and captures Lio. Lio then understands and decides to make it for him. In the fight against Krazor X, Galo expresses how he wished he had his matoi gear and Lio asked if he was talking about the "weird decoration" he had, Galo gets mad and says it embodies the heritage of a firefighter. This results in Lio complying with his wishes, and uses his flames to form Lio de Galon/Galo de Lion, dubbed by Galo. During so, they have no problems controlling it, except when Galo finds the mech "uncool". From here, Deus' AI insists Galo and Lio work together to pilot Deus X Machina, which they do. The fight until they are dropped off at the frozen lake Galo foundĪfter this, they come across Deus' lab, where the truth of Kray's plans and the Burnish are revealed. At this point, Lio tells Galo not to interfere. In the final moments of Lio's rampage, Galo slams into him to try to calm him down. Even so, Lio is willing to destroy the entire city against his moral code, causing Galo to go off and stop him. He finds himself sympathizing with Lio, as Kray had betrayed him as well. Galo looks up into the night sky and recognizes that Lio is crying. Later, while attempting to get his revenge on Kray Foresight, Lio accidentally frees Galo from his cell. Galo confronts Kray Foresight about his treatment on Burnish, thinking his hero would listen and change his mind, when he is betrayed by Kray himself and locked in a prison cell for a week. Here, Galo witnesses Lio use a method of CPR to the dying Burnish in the form of mouth-to-mouth. With this, Lio slowly begins to trust him. During this encounter, Galo realizes the error of his thinking, and tries to make up for it by offering to help a dying Burnish. When he came to, Galo was greeted with Lio kneeling in front of him. Soon after, Galo came across the Burnish hideout, when he is promptly knocked out by Lio, who had recently escaped prison. Their fight results in Lio being captured along with the rest of Mad Burnish. Their first encounter ended with a fight, during which Galo unintentionally breaks Lio's mask off, and comments on how young he is, to Lio's annoyance. I watched the two prequel shorts after having seen the movie, and still enjoyed them as they gave me more info to what happened before the main events of the movie.Lio was first seen by Galo as a terrorist with an agenda to burn cities, as Galo was first seen by Lio as another supporter of Kray Foresight, who he despised. In case you've seen the first prequel about Galo, this short manages to showcase the Burnish's side of the story, and how the seemingly violent Burnish might not actually be as bad as the public thinks they are and that there may be more going on behind the scenes. It was especially nice to hear some voice actors from Kill la Kill reappear, as well as some more teases of the great soundtrack from Hiroyuki Sawano, which are more prevalent in this second short, and which is fantastic in the main movie. If you've seen some other Trigger productions, you will notice a similar feel to this prequel.
#Promare lio fotia movie
Since this is only a prequel, I think there wasn't put as much effort into the art here as compared to the full movie - it's still your recognizable Studio Trigger animation though, with their contrastful color palettes and

You get about as much as you'd expect from a 10 minute character prequel - you get to know about the Burnish and their situation, after having been introduced to the firefighting "Burning Rescue" from the first short prequel. This is the second part of the two-part prequel to Studio Trigger's (first) movie Promare, centering around the seemingly violent "burnish terrorists", and introducing their key figure, Lio Fotia.
